About Wayscore

Wayscore helps travelers choose where to go by scoring destinations on six things that matter most: safety, cleanliness, how welcoming locals are, things to do, value for money and weather. You set what matters to you and the finder ranks destinations for your trip.

Our guides answer the questions people ask before booking, like whether a city is safe or when to visit. Safety guides are checked against official government travel advisories, and every guide shows when it was last updated.

Scores are a starting point for research, not a guarantee; always check the latest official advisories before you travel.

How scores work

• Safety (government travel advisories and crime and peace indexes)
• Cleanliness (air quality, water safety and sanitation)
• Locals (visitor ratings and how easy it is to get by in English)
• Things to do (range of attractions by type)
• Value (typical mid-range daily costs)
• Weather (long-term monthly climate averages)
